New York by jessica Peterson

I was in New York for a brief moment.  As I was on my way back to the airport I realized I hadn't taken any photographs so I took out my camera and explored the last bit of New York before it fell behind me.

HAIR AND SUCH by jessica Peterson

Last month I was lucky enough to collaborate with two very lovely and talented ladies, Brittany Watson Jepson of the blog The House That Lars Built and Rubi of She Lets Her Hair Down.  I was able to photograph the magic they created together with along Caitlin, the lovely model.

You should check out both Brittany and Rubi's DYI hair styles and floral hairpiece tutorials on their blogs, they are both so talented. Here are the links:

GRATEFUL by Jessica Peterson

I feel grateful today.

Grateful that I had some candy to make something with.

Grateful for a boyfriend who I can laugh with.

Grateful for some income that comes from doing something I love.

Grateful for simple things to keep me entertained.

PARK CITY WEDDING: CARLY AND LEVI by Jessica Peterson

You can't go wrong with a wedding involving sequins and leopard as the "color scheme".

Photographing this couple was so much fun for me, I about died when I saw Carly's dress it was so unique and so sexy!  Can you believe that the couple made the dress themselves, RAD!

Thank you Carly and Levi, you were perfect.

Still in the process of getting to know my new camera.
I am finding that it has been bringing me back to an earlier stage in my photography lifecycle and I am loving it.  I have needed this, something more pure and a little more honest.
Breathing...
-Thank you Michelle for sitting for me

SAN FRANCISCO: BROOKE AND DAVID by Jessica Peterson

This was such a fun wedding with so many great locations and details through out the reception.  Brooke really did a fantastic job creating a beautiful event full and made her wedding unique and special. I loved running around SF and using it as a massive backdrop for this sweet couple.

Congrats Brooke and David!

TODAY by Jessica Peterson

I had a really great day.

I woke up happy, I was so excited to get to work and edit (which normally I would not be excited about an editing day).  I edited the whole day and was happy the whole day.  This evening I had a small shoot, I photographed some beautiful people in a beautiful place and that made me happy.  Tonight I am going to go eat cereal for dinner with my boyfriend and that makes me happy too.  It is a good day.

A NEW FRIEND: FUJI x100 by Jessica Peterson

Been waiting to get this little dude for a while now.  I have had a few misfortunes smack me around this past month so I figured it was time for a little change and a new outlook on life... and what better way to do that than with a new camera.

I am excited to have this with me, no more giant SLR unless I'm shooting a job.

My heart is content.
