Beauty's where you find it
Not just where you bump and grind it
Soul is in the musical
That's where I feel so beautiful
Magical, life's a ball
So get up on the dance floor

from the mouth of a true goddess... Modonna, you are a genius.
Well, this is the product of messing around in the studio with my co-worker Michael Wiltbanks (PS happy birthday tomorrow). I hope this was worth an hour waisted at work. Oh well, life is a ball...

I am in Tucson for the weekend to visit my brother Jimmy and his family. I have spent the day with my nephew Jimmy and it has been out of control fun, the cutie never stops with the kisses and laughs. He is my little dude and I love every minute I get to be with him. I have taken a million pictures but my brother is living in the Flinstone age and doesn't have photoshop on his computer so I will post them when I get home.
I can't say I love Tucson or even like it but it's always nice to taste something different.
I found this image on my brothers iphoto...
Before I became a photographer I was an actress in LA, unfortunately this was from the only part I ever got...
only kidding but not really.

What is wrong with people?
How could someone hit a dog and drive off as if nothing happened?
Max is a victim of this of this kind of stupidity and is now
missing 2 toenails and is sporting a 2 inch gaping gash on the top of his paw.
Thank you to the random, evil, selfish driver for running over my dogs paw
and driving away while he hobbled off, blood dripping, wimpering and all.
I hope no one treats you the way you have treated my buddy.

All Dogs Go To Heaven /
Thanks Natalie for taking these images before I had to let him go.
I have never had to watch someone die, I know watching a pet die is in no way close to watching a loved one pass but it was hard. I wanted to be with him while they put him to sleep, I didn't want him to feel abandoned in his last moments. He was walked out of the room for sedation and wheeled back to me so I could be with him while they put him down. It hurt to see him so still, I have never seen him so silent, I wanted him to look at me but he could only stare straight ahead so put my face level with his for a while trying to record in my memory every second, I wanted to remember his aura before it left. After a few minutes I asked the vet to let him go, he struggled to breath for moment and he was gone, I was told that most of the time the eyes will stay open but he slowly closed his eyes. It was strange to say the least. I knew he was gone but I sat expecting him to lift his head at any moment and come to greet me.
He is happy now, I know this.
My Girls /
I don't mean to be melodramatic but I guess everyone has the right to be every once in a while. I will admit I am bummed. Today at 4:30 I have to take my childhood friend and dog Poster to be put down. He has been sick for a while, his legs are weak from arthritis and his poor body is covered with lymphoma tumors. He is old and I believe it is his time but that doesn't change the fact that it hurts to let him go. I am dreading the next few hours when I will have to coax him into my car, walk him into a building where he will be told by my voice that things will be okay then without his knowledge be put to sleep for good... I feel like I am betraying his friendship. He has always been nothing but loyal and forgiving. I can honestly say he is the sweetest creature to have walked the earth. I remember when I was younger Ashley Jensen and I took him to the river to play, I walked out into the middle of the running water and Poster began to panic, he then grabbed my shorts and pulled me out of the river, he was scared for my safety. He loves unlike most people have the capacity to.
I am posting images of some of my favorite people. Natalie, Melanie and Claire. I can be myself with these girls and know that I am safe with them. They are amazing, real, beautiful girls and I am so blessed to have them in my life. I had such a blast photographing them, they put up with my cranky attitude when my camera broke and dealt with me while I gathered my brains. I know times like these make me continue with a content heart and mind. Good people in life make the bad times bearable and short. I am so grateful that the Lord has answered my prayers these past months and I have these kinds of people to share my life with.
Moe /
Don't ask me why Isaac named this little guy Moe, I think he should be called Chewy. Either way he makes my heart melt. Unfortunately technology has been on a 8 year quest to drive me crazy and caused one of CF cards to fry therefore I lost half of the images I shot of him, but I suppose these are sufficient.
You haven't won yet Technology...
I'm still here!

I've been out walking /
This past week some friends and I hopped in my car for a surprise road trip. We weren't really sure where we were going and felt it would be nice to drive and end up where the universe felt we should explore. We drove north-west to Oregon, camped at a fantastic place called Crater Lake then we visited the Redwood Forest which was unbelievable to say the least. We ended up in San Francisco and spent time with twp of my closet friends and eating mayo drenched shrimp in Chinatown (not recommended by this girl). Here are a few images from the trip, more to come when I have some more time.
PS my phone is still down so if you have called or text me they have been lost in space.
