Lake Powell by Jessica Peterson

Last weekend we disappeared for a few nights to camp and boat in Lake Powell. If there is ever a time when I feel more small and significant at the same time it is in when I am amongst the history that the canyons bear.  I really enjoyed my time there, especially the consuming large amounts of Uncrustables and cheese dogs, hiding in creepy cool caves when the sun was to hot and being able to be without cell phones and internets to pull us away from the experience.

Joe and Anne's Bridals by Jessica Peterson

Shot in my studio.
I thought I would do something a little different and use some paper I had laying around, I think it turned out nicely... although I think the bride and groom were a little skeptical when they saw party streamers hanging from c-stands when they arrived.
I will post the wedding shortly so check back soon.

M & B by Jessica Peterson

Such a nice shoot!
Fresh comes to mind when I look at them.
Michelle is an artist, her house oozes creativity! I loved poking around and photographing all the details.

8ft Rorschach by Jessica Peterson

I wanted to do something for myself the other day.  After 60 hours of editing in front of a computer in a 2 day span I decided I was going to have a "me" day.
I had a giant roll of seamless white paper that had been damaged and needed to be put to use so I rolled it out and cut 8x12 foot sheets, dumped a cup of paint down the center and made monster rorschach prints.
I felt liberated and wild, much like I hoped I would grow up to be like but have forgotten about most days.
This top ink blot was a smaller practice sheet and turned out to be my absolute favorite.  It looks like bird in flight.
Aaron posing in front of one of the giant sheets.
This looks like the skeletal structure of the spine and shoulders.
