The Booth at the Bridal Fair /
Last Saturday I had a booth at a local Bridal Fair.
For some I thought it would be a good idea to make personalized handouts for people to remember me by. I made glass magnets with my images inside. They were the coolest but it took me a long time to do them (I still have some if you want one).
Here is the booth. It was a little kitschy but oh well, it was me so I'm proud.
I made that sweet chalkboard in the back too.
Hire me.
Thanks.
Coming soon /

Today... /
It's been too long. /
I have taken a break from the Internet for a while, I guess I burnt myself out. But I am back!
I have been in Utah for the past week and it's been a really good week. I have left my camera in its bag this entire week but now I think it's time to wake it up.
I am happy right now.
Reasons for this happiness:
-It is Autumn, the ground is still wet from this mornings rain.
-my phone keeps sending me texts from someone I like hearing from
-I have resurrected my favorite candle (not sure the scent but I got it from Urban) Yum!
-I have been sleeping in my own bed
-I have had Camera Obscura playing constantly in the background of my life
Yep... That's it.

Day Not Sure /
It has been 3 days since my real post... I am going to try to catch up but it might be a little much. Let's try it out.
So there has been a lot of window shopping. Kate's Paperie, always a great time. Here are some paper masks Claire and I took for a spin.
Yesterday afternoon we had a girls outing. Brunch at Alice's Teacup , it was so cute and so good, then we did some window shopping and visited the Farmer's Market at Union Square.
(Naomi, the tomatoes remind me of your tic tacs in this photo)
That evening Bingo Night!
No one won.
This morning Claire, Hanna and I did the Chelsea Galleries, hours of walking and we only got to a small handful of spaces. Here are some of m favorite bits of today:
Milk Studios, There was a beautiful show of Sam Haskins work, there were my favorite photos
Maya Lin instillation pieces based of the earths surfaces.
Ooops, don't know who this belongs too but I like it.
Our little crew for today
Anyone recognize this guy? I will give a candy bar to the first person who knows
And there he is again.
Brooklyn Bridge.
DUMBO
Click to enlarge this one, I made a little 360 landscape.
Well, I am still loving the way things have been turning out.
I am excited for "New York, I Love You" /
New York I Love You comes out October 16 (in limited theaters), I am pretty excited about it.
If it is half as good as good as Paris Je Taime (is one of my favorite films) than it will be amazing. Basically it is a compilation of short stories, all directed by different directors about Love in the city.

Something Funny: In Me Own Words /
My friend Mike/Murray (who is a great illustrator) showed me this book a while back and I have been dreaming about it ever since. I found and purchased it last night... no buyers remorse here.
You should do the same and check it out, In Me Own Words: The Autobiography of Bigfoot.
Day 12: Apples and Fondue /
Claire and joined a group of people that were headed upstate to an apple orchard to pick Apples. It was pretty great, we walked around plucking a variety apples from their trees and tasting each kind, we found the tastiest to be Empire apples.
I think these are the Empire Apples we eating here
And of course... picture time
After fighting with Claire about having pictures of me taken she wins...
This is Naomi taking a picture of the food with her polaroid camera... gotta love photographers! PS Naomi has a great blog (I am sure you all know of it) but if not check it out here.

I really, really hate having my picture taken... These aren't that bad though! Thanks Claire.
Fondue time! We went to a place on 7th called Bourgeois Pig. It was fantastic.
Free Hugs! I passed but Claire went for it.
Another great evening.

Day 11: I've had better. /
This morning Claire and I took a bus from DC to New York. It was a long bus ride, a little too long.
To pass the time I did this
Made a list of my current favorites in my book
Here they are
-Gifts wrapped in brown paper, anything wrapped in brown paper really
-Sleepless nights that are taken advantage of
-Writing my thoughts of phrases really big on paper to make them last
-Friendly bus drivers
-Wearing mustard yellow and orange at the same time
-Songs about the moon
-Reviving dead friendships
Took this from the window
Claire writing in her book... (look it's my pen!)
Pretending to sleep + me texting
So much going on right? Sorry for the lack of photos...
I know this isn't the prettiest photo but I love the sun and I love when it peers over the earth and spills itself into my camera.
In New York:
Tonight I we went to a party, but first we needed to eat.
T sits by himself, Claire and I pretending to have more fun than we are actually having.
Dance moves in the hallway make me the funny girl I am
The party was a bust (sorry)... But we tried.
night.
